One of the primary developers on the game Michael Condry is promising no quick-scoping in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Speaking to 3 News, he made these comments regarding quick scoping:

“Let me put it this way, sniper classes are not going to be overpowered relative to their peers,” he said. “The ability to master a sniper rifle and be great at it will be equal to the ability to master any other class.

“We’ve done some things to make sure snipers are not able to take advantage of their properties – for example, there are attachments based on weapon classes that are specific. The ability to quick-draw with an assault rifle is important, but you don’t want to have the ability to quick-draw with a sniper rifle because that lends itself to being a faster, quick-scope model.

“We spent a lot of time trying to focus on it so I think sniper class players will find that it’s a really rewarding experience, but it won’t be over-powered relative to their peers.”

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is due out this November. We will keep you updated with any news regarding this highly anticipated game.

  1. I am very curious to see these changes they are talking about. Snipers have always had it easy in any COD game and it seems quite difficult to change this but we will see. I don’t know what they have in store but it better be good. I think they should make it harder to use a sniper rifle and increase the amount it takes to aim with it.

  2. Can’t wait for November to arrive so I can pick up this game! It sounds like an amazing Call Of Duty and I hope it’s the best one yet! I also hope they won’t price it so that not many can get it L! I know it takes a lot of money and work to do these games, but COD prices have always been bigger than the norm.

  3. I want to surprise my boyfriend and get him this game. He really loves COD and I like watching him play and sometimes even playing a little myself. Can’t wait to see his surprise when the game arrives at his door! I really hope the game delivers on its promises and is worth all the money I will pay for it!
