The NBA Playoffs According to NBA2K19

With the NBA Playoff here we decided to see how they would turn out using NBA 2K19 as our crystal ball in a NBA playoff simulation. Will our predictions line up with the current NBA Playoff Odds or will they buck the trends and show us a few upsets on the way to a title. Let’s find out below.

(1) Golden State Warriors vs (8) Los Angeles Clippers

Warriors sweep the Clippers 4-0.

(2) Denver Nuggets vs (7) San Antonio Spurs

Nuggets win 4-0. The Nuggets were able to overcome many people calling for them to be upset, to instead get a sweep on the battle tested Spurs.

(3) Portland Trail Blazers vs (6) Oklahoma City Thunder

Thunder win 4-1. Another disappointing performance in the playoffs for the Trail Blazers as they lose in 5 games to the Thunder.

(4) Houston Rockets vs (5) Utah Jazz

Rockets win 4-2.

Eastern Conference First Round

(1) Milwaukee Bucks vs (8) Detroit Pistons

Bucks win 4-3. The Bucks struggled mightily vs the tandem of Drummond and Griffin, and barely escape.

(2) Toronto Raptors vs (7) Orlando Magic

Raptors win 4-1

(3) Philadelphia 76ers vs (6) Brooklyn Nets

76ers win 4-1

(4) Boston Celtics vs (5) Indiana Pacers

Celtics win 4-0. Despite the real life drama, the Celtics have been going through, their talent level far exceeds that of the Oladipo-less Pacers and they win this going away.

Western Conference Second Round

(1) Golden State Warriors vs (4) Houston Rockets

Rockets win 4-3. The Rockets were finally able to get over the hump and defeat the Warriors in 7 games on the back of James Harden.

(2) Denver Nuggets vs (6) Oklahoma City Thunder

Nuggets win 4-2. The Nuggets continue their magical playoff run defeating the evenly matched Thunder in 6 games.

Eastern Conference Second Round

(1) Milwaukee Bucks vs (4) Boston Celtics

Celtics win 4-2. The Celtics continue to keep “the switch” on during the playoffs, defeating the Top East squad Bucks in 6 games.

(2) Toronto Raptors vs (3) Philadelphia 76ers

Raptors win 4-3. Despite struggling mightily during the season vs the Raptors, the 76ers were able to give them all they could handle taking them to 7 games before quietly bowing out.

Conference Finals

(2) Denver Nuggets vs (4) Houston Rockets

Rockets win 4-2. James Harden single handedly ends the Nuggets magical season, propelling himself higher in the minds of sports media. Now with the hope of finally earning himself an NBA Title along with his numerous other awards.

(2) Toronto Raptors vs (4) Boston Celtics

Raptors win 4-3. Two teams carrying a lot of baggage battled to send one to the NBA Finals. Yet it was the Raptors finally getting over the hump defeating the surging Celtics in 7 games. Leaving questions of Kyrie Irving’s future with the team.

NBA Finals

(2) Toronto Raptors vs (4) Houston Rockets

Rockets win 4-3. Despite Kawhi Leonard giving it his very all, it was James Harden and the Houston Rockets outlasting the Raptors in 7 games to become NBA Champs.
