One of the best subscription-based gaming services right now is the Xbox Game Pass. While the Xbox feature advertises itself as having only 150+ games, the service currently has over 320 titles. However, with so many titles at one’s disposal, you may find yourself overwhelmed by your options. Nevertheless, we are here to help you save some time with a list of our top 5 favorite sports and racing titles on Xbox Game Pass.
Top 5 Sports/ Racing Games on Xbox Game Pass
5. eFootball PES 2021 Seasonal Update
If you, like me, are not satisfied with Konami’s recent eFootball 2022 release, you might want to try out last year’s seasonal update. This game is the last of the PES series, and while it isn’t a “new” title per se, it still has all the game modes from previous PES games. You can spend your time in player career or build the perfect team in Master League; eFootball PES 2021 is still a great game to play.
Konami released its free-to-play eFootball title in September. Currently, they are trying to recover from a disastrous launch with future updates. You can check out my review of the game here.
4. Golf with Your Friends
Who needs Mario Party when you can Golf with Your Friends? Starting as an early access game on Steam, Golf with Your Friends was fully released in May 2020. This fun golf game goes up to 12-players in 13 challenging levels with 18 holes each.
These levels aren’t your typical PGA Tour golf courses; It’s more creative and chaotic. Golf with Your Friends is a great game to try on Xbox Game Pass.
3. Fight Night Champion
Fight Night Champion is arguably the best boxing game in the series. The game has been praised for its story and fantastic gameplay. Unfortunately, Fight Night Champion is the last game in the series, and we hope to see a return soon.
Fight Night is one of the most highly requested series to make a return. Earlier this year, we heard rumors of a possible return. However, it’s been hard to develop a boxing game due to Electronic Arts’ current UFC deal.
2. Skate
Skate is a classic skateboarding game and the main rival to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series. However, what sets Skate apart is the reliance on the physics of the board itself. The physics makes the game more technical, and using analog sticks to perform tricks was a great gameplay feature for its time.
Last summer, we finally got confirmation that developer Full Circle is developing the next entry in the Skate series. After Skate 3, the game has seen an 11-yearlong hiatus, but we can’t wait to see more of Skate 4.
1. Forza Horizon 5
The Forza Horizon series has been gaining popularity through the last few entries. Unlike Forza Motorsport, Horizon takes the realistic driving and throws it into a fun, action-packed racing festival. This time the Horzion festival takes place in Playground Games stunning recreation of Mexico. Forza Horizon 5 is fun, creative, and challenging, its well worth your time on Xbox Game Pass.
Horizon 5 has received a 92 percent on Metacritic, one of the highest scores given to a sports/racing title. In addition, the game has hit a perfect ten out of ten on a few other websites.
