MLB The Show 18 Content and Roster Updates Available Now

MLB The Show 18

After dropping a new event earlier this week, San Diego Studio (SDS) released another huge content update for MLB The Show 18. This update includes changes to roster attribute, new positional programs as well as new June monthly missions.

Today’s roster update features attribute upgrades and downgrades. Below are some of the major attribute changes.

The roster update also added two brand new players to Diamond Dynasty rookies Juan Soto and Jordan Hicks. Hicks has been much anticipated due to his electric stuff, throwing upwards of 100mph with regularity. Time will tell how he plays in online games. For now, Soto (72 overall) and Hicks (70) are bronze players that will likely be all over the Battle Royale circuit.

In addition to the live roster update, new programs are now in Diamond Dynasty.  Per TheShowNation, these are the new positional programs:

  1. Third Base: All-Star Legend Buddy Bell, Diamond 89 OVR, Texas Rangers
  2. Relief Pitcher: Breakout Flashback Jake McGee, Diamond 86 OVR, Tampa Bay Rays
  3. Starting Pitcher: Breakout Flashback Mat Latos, Diamond 85 OVR, San Diego Padres
  4. Starting Pitcher: All-Star Flashback James Shields, Diamond 85 OVR, Tampa Bay Rays
  5. Starting Pitcher: Future Star Mike Soroka, Gold 83 OVR, Atlanta Braves
  6. Starting Pitcher: Impact Veteran Flashback Jason Hammel, Gold 83 OVR, Chicago Cubs
  7. First Base: Breakout Flashback Steve Pearce, Gold 83 OVR, Baltimore Orioles
  8. Left Field: All-Star Flashback Melky Cabrera, Gold 83 OVR, San Francisco Giants
  9. Shortstop: Rookie Flashback Mike Aviles, Gold 81 OVR, Kansas City Royals
  10. Second Base: Breakout Flashback Matt Carpenter, Gold 81 OVR, St. Louis Cardinals
  11. Second Base: All-Star Flashback Rickie Weeks, Gold 80 OVR, Milwaukee Brewers
  12. Catcher: All-Star Flashback Jason Castro, Gold 80 OVR, Houston Astros

Below is a look at all-star legend Buddy Bell.

Lastly, more June timed missions were added that offer various loot rewards. These missions count towards the overall June mission that in total rewards over 6,000 stubs and 10 packs.
