MLB The Show 22 Brings Back Fan Favorite Extreme Program

MLB The Show 22 Extreme Program

MLB The Show 22 just saw a fan favorite program return to the game for the first time in two years. The Extreme Program has returned. This program features a momentous grind towards stellar rewards. Along with this new program comes a new showdown, a new conquest map, and new Topps Now cards.

Extreme Program

The Extreme Program was a popular fan request for MLB The Show 22. After being absent in MLB The Show 21, the program returns with new challenges and rewards. The idea of the program is to have players complete very difficult challenges to earn some of the best cards and packs in the game.

The program includes 10 very challenging moments for players to complete. Each of these will reward 3 points towards progression in the programming. Some of the challenges include hitting 8 HRs in 8 games with Ken Griffey Jr., striking out 20 batters in a game with Kerry Wood, and tallying 10 total bases in a single game with Carlos Delgado.

Along with the moments, players will complete PXP missions with Retro Finest Kerry Wood, a new conquest map, and a new showdown against boss Randy Johnson. As players advance in the program they will earn rewards, including the four 99 OVR Retro Finest bosses:

Collecting each of these bosses rewards 30,000 XP towards the current Dog Days of Summer Featured Program. This means players can get up to 120,000 XP just by collecting these four bosses

Topps Now

The next set of Topps Now cards have been added to the August Monthly Awards Program. By completing the six Week 3 moments, players can earn the following 93 OVR cards:

Collecting these three cards will rewards a 95 OVR Topps Now Phillies 1B Rhys Hoskins.

Double XP Days

Double gameplay XP is now active in MLB The Show 22. From now through September 1st, players will earn 2X XP towards the Dog Days of Summer Featured Program from all gameplay.

Headliners Set

Headliners Set 41 is now available in The Show Shop. The newest Headliner is 99 OVR Retro Finest Adam Wainwright. This card is based on Wainwright’s 2013 season where he started 34 games, had a 19-9 record with 219 strikeouts and a 2.94 ERA.
