This week, Sony San Diego Studio and the MLB The Show community made an incredible donation in remembrance of the life and work of Jackie Robinson.

MLB The Show Donation

On Tuesday, Sony San Diego Studio’s communications and brand strategist, Ramone Russel,l presented a check for more than $875,000 to the Jackie Robinson Foundation on behalf of the MLB The Show community. Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation CEO and Jackie Robinson Foundation alumna, Nichol Whiteman, accepted the check for the foundation.

This donation comes on the 100 birthday of Rachel Robinson, the wife of the late Jackie Robinson. Rachel founded the Jackie Robinson Foundation in 1973. Since its founding, the foundation has been able to provide premier scholarship and leadership development programs to more than 1,800 students across the country. The foundation is also working towards opening the Jackie Robinson Museum in New York City later this year.

MLB The Show players and community members helped raise this money for the organization over the past couple of years. The program started with players purchasing the collector’s editions of MLB The Show 21 and 22. For each of these purchases, $1 went into funding this donation. On Jackie Robinson Day 2022, players purchased Jackie Robinson Foundation packs in MLB The Show 22, where all of the proceeds went directly into this donation.

This particular donation from SDS allows them to create a scholarship program specifically for Jackie Robinson Foundation students interested in careers in video game development. This new program will also allow students to complete a paid internship with SDS. This will allow them to receive valuable job experience, and make them extremely valuable to employers.

The MLB The Show community may have its faults from time to time. Players often complain about the state of the game as well as go back and forth on Twitter more than most perhaps should. However, this amazing donation shows what a great community this really is. Everyone who is a part of this community should be incredibly proud of what has been accomplished and what amazing things will come as a result of this donation.

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I’m my non-public boss. That is what I do… http://www.Richzone9.com
