Out of the Park Baseball 22 Announced

Out of the Park Developments announced its latest game, Out of the Park Baseball 22, this morning. The announcement came with a development roadmap, which is common. However, the roadmap reveals a surprisingly short turn around. Out of the Park Baseball 22 release worldwide on March 26, 2021.

The first trailer for OOTP 22 drops next Friday, March 5. The following Friday, March 12, MLB Network’s, Scott Braun, will join the team in the first major gameplay reveal. New content will be revealed each subsequent Friday until the game’s release on March 26, including a look at Perfect Team 22, OOTP’s Ultimate Team equivalent.

OOTP 22 will come out exactly a year after its predecessor, OOTP 21. We really enjoyed Out of the Park Baseball 21! We trusted OOTP 21 so much we let it decide how last year’s MLB season would play out. Last year’s entry happened to hit right at the beginning of the ongoing pandemic. It joined other sports games in helping fill the sports void left as a result of COVID-19. I wish more things were different from back then. The biggest difference, I suppose, is that real baseball and Out of the Park Baseball 22 will be coexisting this spring. Hopefully OOTP 22 will let fans enjoy a little more baseball from the safety of their homes.

There’s very little revealed about Out of the Park Baseball 22 as of now. If you’re already in on the new installment, you can pre-order OOTP 22 right now on Out of the Park Development’s website. If you do pre-order, you’ll save 10%, and gain access to the game’s upcoming public beta 3 days early. You can also save 10% if you wishlist Out of the Park Baseball 22 on Steam.
