2K Top Five Dunkers

1. Zion Williamson (97 Dunk)

The number one pick of the 2019 draft is blessed with ridiculous athleticism. Since his arrival, he shows it on a nightly basis with the New Orleans Pelicans. Zion Williamson has the talent to become one of the league’s most dominant players. With only two years in the league, he has already become one of the best scorers averaging 27 points in his sophomore season.

2. Zach LaVine (95 Dunk)

Similar to Williamson, Zach LaVine is one of the most athletic players in the league. He went back-to-back in the dunk contest in 2015-2016. He is coming off an impressive season averaging career highs points, assists, rebounds, and shooting percentages.

3. Aaron Gordon (95 Dunk)

Aaron Gordon is a human highlight reel. His ability to finish at the rim will leave spectators in awe at his athleticism. Many feel that he was robbed of at least two dunk contest trophies. He even jumped over a 7’6” Tacko Fall. Gordon may not have eye-popping stats but being on a team with the reigning MVP is sure a step in the right direction.

4. Derrick Jones Jr. (94 Dunk)

DJJ already has ridiculous leaping ability but possessing a 70-inch wingspan has all the ingredients to make an athletic freak of nature. DJJ already has a highlight reel of dunks and a dunk contest trophy to his name.

5. Ja Morant (94 Dunk)

Ja Morant may be the smallest on this list, but if you look at his jumping ability, he might be the most athletic. The number 2020 rookie of the year has already made a significant splash for the Memphis Grizzlies. He led the team to their first playoff berth in 2021 and led the team past the Warriors in the play-in tournament.

Let us know down below if 2K got it right. Who do you think should be on the 2K list?

How is Giannis not in this list, if not #1? Dunking is about how often you finish the dunk; not about how amazing the dunk is. That’s why older games correctly had Shaq at a 99 in dunking–because he was unstoppable. Giannis is near that level of dominance in dunking.
