Leading up to its launch on September 19, 2K has spent the past few weeks revealing gameplay blogs, new features and this week announcing new classic teams. NBA 2K17 featured 45 of these classic teams and today 2K reveals 16 new classic teams for NBA 2K18. That’s a total of 61 classic teams.

Classic Teams Coming To NBA 2K18

  • 1996-97 Miami Heat
  • 1998-99 New York Knicks
  • 2001-02 New Jersey Nets
  • 2001-02 Sacramento Kings
  • 2003-04 Los Angeles Lakers
  • 2004-05 San Antonio Spurs
  • 2005-06 Memphis Grizzlies
  • 2007-08 Denver Nuggets
  • 2007-08 New Orleans Hornets
  • 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks
  • 2011-12 Oklahoma City Thunder
  • 2012-13 Memphis Grizzlies
  • 2013-14 Indiana Pacers
  • 2015-16 Golden State Warriors

While the term “classic” may be debatable for the teams, their inclusions will make for exciting gameplay. Fans hoping for Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller may still be out of luck as neither the requested Suns and Pacers teams have been announced for the game.
