The NBA 2K League held its season three player draft on Saturday in New York City, just over a month before the regular season gets underway.
In what was viewed as a toss-up pick between the top two players available, Wizards District Gaming took John “JBM” Mascone with the number one pick in the draft. JBM joined fellow players Dimez (Mavs Gaming) and Ria (Jazz Gaming) as the only three players to be selected first overall in the NBA 2K League Draft.

One pick later, Knicks Gaming made Christopher “Duck” Charles the second overall pick. The top five was rounded out with Kings Guard selecting Rafel “Crush” Davis; Pacers Gaming taking Eddy “BOHIO-” Perez; and the Gen.G Tigers taking Dhwan “ShiftyKaii” White.
The two newest teams to the league — Hornets Venom GT and Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai — continued filling out their rosters by adding five players each in the draft. To add to the historic moments of the draft, the first Chinese player in league history was taken when the Gen.G Tigers selected Hu “Luck_Yi_Wesley” Yi in the fourth round.
