Just over a week out from the global launch of NBA 2K23, 2k has just released the songs that will be featured on the game’s soundtrack at launch. The titles on the soundtrack feature some of the most popular artists in the world, as well as some new up and coming artists.

The NBA 2K23 soundtrack will feature titles from more than 30 artists at launch. These artists include big names like Drake, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, and more. Along with these familiar faces, the soundtrack features several new artists. This will give players the opportunity to discover some new music as they play through the game. The NBA 2K23 soundtrack will also add more title throughout the year. Three new tracks will be added to the NNBA 2K23 soundtrack every Friday.

The connection to music in NBA 2K23 doesn’t end with the soundtrack. The game’s MyCAREER storyline will give players the opportunity to develop a music career alongside their career as an NBA star. The story in this year’s MyCAREER will feature several characters and cameos, including Dreamville musicians Elite and Bas.

Perhaps the biggest musical connection NBA 2K23 comes in the form of a brand new edition of the game. The GameStop exclusive DREAMER Edition of NBA 2K23 features Grammy Award-winning artist J. Cole as the cover artist. J. Cole will appear in this year’s MyCAREER storyline to help the player manage their musical career.

J. Cole had this to say about being featured in NBA 2K23, “NBA 2Khas long been a place to discover new musical talent through their game and continues to be a gold standard for showcasing all things basketball culture. It’s been an amazing journey to not only appear on a cover of this year’s game, but to be part of the MyCAREER storyline, soundtrack and bring the DREAMER brand into NBA 2K. There’s also more to come, so watch out for all things Dreamville and DREAMER brand drops during Seasons and for Bas and Elite in this year’s MyCAREER story.”

Meanwhile, Alfie Brody, VP of Global Marketing Strategy at NBA 2k said, ““The sheer scale, depth and talent featured in this year’s MyCAREER creates an unparalleled experience within NBA 2K23. At the top of that list of talent is our first cover star who truly sits at the intersection of basketball and music. Bringing a visionary like J. Cole and DREAMER into the creative process for both the game and the soundtrack showcases the pillar of culture that NBA 2K23 has become.”

NBA 2K23 releases on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on September 9, 2022.
