T-Wolves Gaming – the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves – was crowned 2019 NBA 2K League Champions after defeating 76ers GC in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA 2K League Finals by a score of 52-35. The victory wraps up a 3-2 series victory for Minnesota as they became the first expansion team in league history to capture the NBA 2K League Championship. T-Wolves Gaming defeated Kings Guard Gaming and Warriors Gaming Squad in the first two rounds of the 2019 NBA 2K League Playoffs, respectively.

Michael “BearDaBeast” Key, a former college basketball player at Piedmont International University, was named Finals MVP. The 2019 first-round pick tallied 23 points and six assists in the pivotal Game 5 victory.
