NBA Jam Returns in 2020
The arcade cabinet manufacturer Arcade1Up announced during CES 2020 this week that new NBA Jam cabinets will be released this fall. The 4-player cabinets will allow gamers to play NBA Jam, NBA Jam Tournament Edition and NBA Hangtime. At CES, Arcade1Up has set up two-story cabinets (via PC Mag) at the event to drum up interest in the new units.

These cabinets, however, are much different from the ones of the past. The new NBA Jam cabinets will have built in Wi-Fi capabilities and online multiplayer access. In addition, Arcade1Up also announced that access to online play will be free of charge, so gamers will not have to purchase an Xbox Live-like subscription to square off against others from around the world.
The NBA Jam cabinets are scheduled to go on sale during the fall of 2020. The 4-player cabinets will reportedly be sold for $399 USD. For more gaming news, be sure to keep checking out the SGO site.
