The eSports industry continues to experience profitable growth year over year, with more than 532 million people watching the action around the world. This year, eSports crossed the $1.38 billion mark in profits. Its exponential growth has also increased the number of tournaments held worldwide. Check out casinomir.com for some of the best platforms offering various eSports tournaments. With that said, check out this quick list of esports tournaments to watch come 2023.

5 eSports Tournaments you should check out

TI (The International)

The International is worth mentioning due to its huge prize pools and unmatchable popularity. Undoubtedly, DOTA 2 is one of the biggest and best MOBA titles under the Valve Corporation, making this tournament an excellent attraction for pro gamers. The large prize pools come from their crowdfunding method and other monetization strategies. Not to mention, the previous TI annual prize pool was $40 million for the winner. This eSports tournament broke its previously held record of the most viewers by scoring more than 2.7 million peak viewers this time.

League of Legends World Championship (Worlds)

League of Legends is notorious for having the most massive fanbase, with 4 million peak viewers tuning into the competition. Moreover, the collective 174 million hours of watch time speaks volumes of the notoriety of the tournament. Even though its prize pool doesn’t come closer to what TI offers, Worlds makes a pretty sweet deal for the winners. So, if you are a pro gamer and believe you can win, this $6.7 million prize pool is for you to take.

CS: GO Major Championships

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major tournament is another prominent name in the eSports industry. This biannual competition is sponsored by the Valve Corporation and has hosted the biggest and most dominating tournaments for over twenty years. In 2021, PGL Stockholm Major brought significant earnings and a massive viewer count with a $2 million prize pool and 2.7 million viewers, respectively.

Fortnite World Cup

Epic Games founded this prestigious tournament named Fortnite World Cup. The tournament became an overnight hit and reached the list of the top hottest eSports tournaments in 2019, where 200 players competed against each other. During this world cup, the prize pool was a staggering $30 million for winners, divided into two separate events (duo and solo). The World Cup starts with weekly qualifiers, with the top 100 solo and 50 duo players proceeding to finals. The virtual tournament was hugely successful, with more than 2.3 million viewers enjoying the live battles. Not to forget, a 16-year-old kid Kyle Giersdorf won the solo championship and took home $3 million as a cash prize.

PUBG Mobile Game Championship

The mobile version of PUBG is far more popular than the desktop version for its availability on iOS and Android and ease of use. This global championship started in 2021 with a staggering prize pool of $3.5 million and a peak viewership of 3.8 million. As a result, this tournament landed in the list of the top 5 most viewed eSports tournaments of all time.
