Allied eSports Announces Investment in Esports Arena

Allied eSports announced that it is entering an investment partnership with Esports Arena. Allied plans to build new Esports Arenas and to also improve on their only location in Santa Ana, CA. The first new Esports Arena will be constructed in Oakland, CA at the Jack London Square by the end of 2016.

Jud Hannigan, Senior Vice President of Allied eSports said, “Partnering with Esports Arena is the next step for Allied eSports in building our worldwide arena footprint and launching consistent tournaments on a global scale, not only will Esports Arena be the North American home of our upcoming tournaments and leagues, but we are looking forward to expanding on the success of Esports Arena Santa Ana, bringing its distinct impact on the esports community to Oakland and other markets.”

This marks the first time Allied eSports is expanding into North America. They already have locations in Asia, and plan to announce expansions into Europe at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Esports Arena: Santa Ana is a 15,000 square foot facility that hosts a multitude of events revolving around eSports. They do everything from putting their own tournaments on, broadcasting tournaments going on in the industry, and even host events for people who need a space. Their structure lends itself perfectly to growing and cultivating local competitive scenes in a way that is not being done anywhere else.

There is a difference between inflating something and letting it grow organically with a little financial stability. Allied eSports is doing the latter and helping Esports Arena achieve something that nobody else is doing. This is great for the whole industry.
