Well, it’s finally here. Opening day in the NBA 2K League is today, as the league tips off with the THE TIPOFF tournament. Here’s a look at the week ahead in the NBA 2K League.
THE TIPOFF
League action starts today on Twitch at 5 PM EST as Raptors Uprising GC will face Mavs Gaming. Six games will be taking place today, including a major match-up between Knicks Gaming and Nets GC. This will be the first ever game for Nets GC, while Knicks Gaming will begin their title defense after winning the 2K League title last seaosn.
Here’s a schedule of today’s games:
- 5 PM – Raptors Uprising GC vs Mavs Gaming
- 6 PM – Cavs Legion GC vs Raptors Uprising GC
- 7 PM – Mavs Gaming vs Cavs Legion GC
- 8 PM – Knicks Gaming vs Nets GC
- 9 PM – Nets GC vs Magic Gaming
- 10 PM – Magic Gaming vs Knicks Gaming

The No.1 Pick Debuts
Spencer “Ria” Wyman was drafted first overall by Jazz Gaming, and he will make his 2K League debut on Friday for his new team at 9 PM against Bucks Gaming. After Jazz Gaming finished 5-9 last season, they’ll be looking to make a major improvement this season.
First Action for the New Teams
This season will see four new teams entering the league, as Hawks Talon GC, Lakers Gaming, Nets GC, and T-Wolves Gaming are in their inaugural season. Nets GC will play their first games tonight, while T-Wolves Gaming will have to wait until tomorrow. Lakers Gaming and Hawks Talon GC won’t play until Thursday.

Through a partnership with ring manufacturer Baron Rings, the champions from last season will be getting some new jewelry. The NBA 2K League champions from last year will be awarded with rings in a ceremony tonight at 7:45 PM by 2K League Managing Director Brendan Donohue.

The NBA 2K League and X Ambassadors partnered to create a promotional video for the launch of this upcoming season. Also as part of the collaboration, the rock band will perform their new single, “BOOM”, at the NBA 2K League studio at Long Island City. The band will perform in front of the studio audience and on Twitch live at 4:45 PM EST on Wednesday.
