Everything New Coming to Superstar Mode in Madden NFL 25

The return of Superstar Mode was one of the big bright spots of Madden NFL 24. Many fans enjoyed the revamped career mode and were eager to see how EA Sports would add to the mode going into the future. This week, EA Sports released details on how they planned to do just that.

Heisman to Hall of Fame

The biggest feature coming to Superstar Mode in Madden NFL 25 is the ability to import players from the Road to Glory mode in College Football 25. This feature was a big ask from the second College Football 25 was announced. As of now, this is one of the few ways EA Sports’ two football titles interact with one another.

The next big change coming to the mode this year is new preset archetypes in player creation. There will be different archetype options for each position in the mode. Your archetype will determine things like your starting ratings and your ratings caps. You can then spend creation points on a rating to increase both the rating’s starting point and cap. If you don’t spend any creation points on an attribute, it will start out at 60 and have a maximum of 84. Spending creation points on an attribute will also increase the level of the ability associated with that attribute, which can be upgraded.

There are also a lot more customization options when creating your player. Tons of new hairstyles, faces, and more have been added. Also, players will now be able to add tattoos to their avatars this year!

Combine Drills

Just like last year, the NFL Combine will be incredibly important to your player in Madden NFL 25. The Combine will have 26 brand new drills for players to run through, as well as the familiar ones from last year. Performing well in these drills can improve both your draft stock and some of your initial ratings as well.

Quests

Once you make it to the league, the new quest system will be the biggest change you see for the rest of your career. Quests will be given to you in conversations with people like coaches and teammates. These quests can range from things like individual statistic goals to winning a key game to stay in the playoff hunt. There are more than 900 different quests in Superstar mode this year, so hopefully you won’t see the same quests too often.
