With all the sports games that have been released recently, the sport of boxing has been missing a great video game for a while now. Fans of the sport have been eager for any sort of news about a new game. Now, we are less than one month away from the biggest boxing video game release in over a decade. Steel City Interactive’s Undisputed is set to launch on October 11th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Here is everything you need to know about Undisputed before it releases.
Gameplay
Undisputed seeks to bring the strategy that real boxers employ to their game. The idea is that players will have full control over every tiny movement their boxer makes in the ring. You can use this movement to utilize the full ring and make the fight go at your pace.
There is a huge selection of punches to choose from in Undisputed. From jab and hooks to body shots and uppercuts, there is always something in your arsenal that will beat your opponent’s guard. Once you learn how to string these different punches together in unique combinations, you’ll be well on your way to a title fight.
Defending yourself from your opponent’s strikes is just as important. You can use slips and blocks to avoid attacks. You’ll need to wait until your opponent leaves themselves open for you to counter and make your move.
Fighter Roster
There are more than 70 licensed fighters in Undisputed, the most ever in a major boxing video game. The licensed fighters include legends of the past like Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, as well as modern day champions like Canelo Alvarez and Tyson Fury. There are 10 different weight divisions that you can compete in. Each fighter’s stats have been tailored to match their unique style. When playing against these fighters, you will notice that they act similarly to their real-life counterparts.
Career Mode
In Career Mode, you will be able to create your own fighter and begin as an amateur. You will have to work your way up to the top. You will have to negotiate deals, choose your trainers and coaches, manage your training, and pick your fights carefully. There are four titles in the game you can compete for, three licensed titles (WBC, IBF, WBO) as well as the Steel City Interactive belt. If you perform well enough, you might be able to earn all four titles to become the undisputed champion of the world.
Online Multiplayer
Undisputed will feature online multiplayer at launch. This will allow players to face off against other players, as well as set up private lobbies to battle against their friends. For the competitive players, ranked leaderboards will be available to showcase who is the best of the best.
Prize Fights
Prize Fights is a situational mode that will throw players into unique fight scenarios. There will be different situations rotated in and out of the mode on a regular basis. Each fight will have new conditions, and a unique scoring system based on how well you adjust to those conditions. This mode will be constantly updated, so you’ll want to keep an eye on it to take on the new challenges when they come out.
I’m happy for the boxing fans game. I usually play Boxing and Block Blast game.
