In a pleasant surprise by Electronic Arts, the team at Skate released a low poly trailer showcasing bits of gameplay. EA also announced the ability for users to test drive the new Skate. Players can register for the playtest here.

Incoming Skate Playtest
In a reveal that was under a minute and a half, EA captivated the audiences who have longed for a new Skate for more than a decade. The gameplay shows a myriad of tricks, unique parks, and some free-running. In the trailer, the spokesperson stated that the team gives players more freedom than ever. It also reaffirmed they have been listening to fans.
We still have no idea when Skate is coming however we may know soon enough. There will be a showcase next month. In addition to Skate, FIFA, and Need for Speed will be showcased next month as well.
The details of the playtest are as follows.
As a skate. insider, you have the chance to play early versions of the game and provide feedback throughout our development journey. We need to scale access to Skate. gradually as development progresses to ensure a smooth experience, and that means we can’t guarantee how soon you’ll get to play.
The playtests will be closed playtests for anyone selected to participate. Sharing any video captures, screenshots, or streaming of anything in the game is prohibited.
