Electronic Arts Warns Fans of “Unauthorized” Version of Skate 4

skate 4 leak

Earlier this month, we got a massive leak during the Skate 4 playtest. Reddit user MYNAMEISHENDRIK claimed a friend gave him information on the game’s mechanics and map. However, a leaked version of Full Circle’s upcoming Skate game was released last week. Electronic Arts have warned players about this “unauthorized” version and the dangers of downloading files from unknown sources.

“We’re aware of an earlier version of the game that has been distributed without our authorization. This build is from September 2021 and was never intended for external use. While we understand you’re excited to get into the game, we encourage you to be careful when downloading files from unknown sources (and remind you of the potential consequences of breaking EA’s Terms of Service). Thank you once again for your incredible support! We feel very blessed to have a community this passionate.”

Electronic Arts claims this build of the game is from September 2021 and is only meant for development purposes. The leaker of this version of Skate has since been banned. EA has reiterated that signing up for a playtest is the best way to play its newest skateboard game.

Skate 4 News Heating Up

Last year developer Full Circle released a trailer on Skate 4 that simply said “We’re working on it,” and they announced a new skate game was on its way.

So far, Electronic Arts have yet to announce the release date for the game, but rumor suggests that Skate 4, FIFA 23, and Need For Speed will be announced later this July. Hopefully, we hear about a release date for Skate 4 during this showing.
