We were all happy to see the first two games in the Tony Hawk series make their grand return to current-gen consoles last year. This year, it looks like we have even more to be happy about. Today it was announced via trailer that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 26.

The game will also be launching on the Nintendo Switch at a later date.

Those who purchased the digital current-gen revival of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 in 2020 will be happy to know that their copy can be upgraded for $10. While anyone who bought the deluxe edition will receive a free upgrade. There is no word as of right now if this applies to customers with physical copies.

The next-gen versions of the classic skateboarding title will of course feature a sizable jump in graphics, sound, and fluidity. Gamers will be able to skate at a smooth 60 frames per second in 4K or 120 frames per second at 1080p.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 was very well-received by fans and critics alike when it released last September. With so many classics in the Tony Hawk catalogue, we can only hope that Activision will release the other bangers from the PlayStation 1 and 2 era.

Fingers crossed for Tony Hawk’s Undeground.

Are you looking forward to a next-gen Tony Hawk game? What other games in the series would you like to see get the remaster treatment? Leave a comment and let us know! Stay tuned to Sports Gamers Online for the latest.
