Today’s update to F1 23 brings the Formula 2 2023 season to the game. This update includes F2 drivers, including rookies Théo Pourchaire, Frederik Vesti, Ayumu Iwasa, Arthur Leclerc, and Enzo Fittipaldi. This update allows players to take part in F2 events in Career, F1 World, and Multiplayer modes.

The much anticipated Sports Update for F1 23 also arrived today. This update brings several changes to each F1 team based on real-world changes made during the season. This includes changes to sponsors, colors, bodywork, and vehicles.

Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, said, “We have collaborated closely with the Formula 1 teams to introduce our enhanced Sports Update. Each team has made unique modifications to the cars, which we have diligently recreated to ensure fans enjoy the most authentic F1 racing experience. Additionally, we are delighted to announce that players can now participate in the thrilling 14-round Formula 2 season opening a new roster of competitors and challenges.”

On top of today’s updates, more will be coming to F1 23 later this week. From October 17 to 23, players can try their hand at the Nico Hulkenberg Scenario Event. Players who beat this challenge will receive the ‘Home Race’ Haas livery, driver suit, and boots.

Driver ratings will be updated on October 19 to better represent the real-life performance of the drivers in the game. Also, F1 Esports Series champions, including the reigning 2022 Formula 1 Esports Series Champion Lucas Blakeley, will be added into the game as My Team Icons.
