Undisputed Developers Are “FULLY FOCUSED” On a Console Launch

Recently, Steel City Interactive has really accelerated its efforts to improve Undisputed. So far, in 2024, the boxing developer has released its biggest update yet, which includes career mode, character customization, and a new camera angle. However, it seems like the team isn’t done just yet. In an interview with Mike Straw of Insider Gaming, Undisputed CEO Ash Habib stated that his team is “fully focused” on a console release.

Undisputed Console Release Soon

Undisputed‘s 7th title update was the last major update before the game’s official launch. With the game now sporting a fully realized career mode, some online features, and character customization, Undisputed seems fully equipped to make its debut.

In an interview with Mike Straw, CEO Ash Habib stated that Steel City is already working with Microsoft and Sony to bring its boxing title to the consoles with its 1.0 update.

“The key thing for us now is we are fully focused on our console development,” Habib stated.

“PlayStation and Xbox, we are going through that process right now, in terms of getting us to that version one launch on consoles.”

“Launching the game on Steam or PC platforms is a completely different ballgame when it comes to consoles, so we’re just navigating that path at the moment.”

Undisputed‘s console release has been a hot topic amongst our readers. I’ve mentioned a few times that the game will get a console release once Steel City feels like the game was polished enough during its early access stage.

“Get us [Steel City Interactive] to a point where we are happy with the amount of polish we are able to do. Obviously, we want to make sure that the bugs are gone from the game.”

Ash Habib has confirmed that Undisputed has received its last major update, but his team will continue to work on smaller patches further down the line.
