With 134 teams in college football, some players stand out as nearly unstoppable forces on the virtual gridiron. These players know how to take over the game in many different ways ,making them guys that make you sweat when you see what team you’re playing. So with that, here are my top 10 most overpowered players in the game.
10. Kyron Drones, Virginia Tech
Kyron Drones, in College Football 25, is essentially a right-handed version of Michael Vick, pushing the limits of realism with his playmaking abilities. No matter how tight the defense seems, Drones is always a threat to make something happen from the pocket. His Gold Option King, Extender, and Magician abilities elevate his performance even further to the level of the top quarterbacks in the game, making him incredibly difficult to stop. Whether you’re playing with or against him, Drones is a player you have to respect, and his nearly 1,000 rushing yards on the ground last year make it clear why he’s such a game-changer.
9. Barion Brown, Kentucky
He’s the guy who will beat you deep for an effortless 50-yard touchdown before you even notice his 98-speed. His Platinum Takeoff ability makes him one of the best deep threats in the game. It makes you wonder why he’s on Kentucky. Finding a hidden gem like him on a lesser-used team is always exciting, and Brown’s explosiveness is impressive. By the second quarter, he’ll likely have his usual 3 catches for 90 yards against you. Kentucky’s struggles might mean players miss out on experiencing the excitement of him burning their favorite corner for six points.
8. Donovan Smith, Houston
I chose Houston because of Smith’s stats, even though the rest of the team isn’t great. Smith, a Texas Tech transfer, is a one-man show with 87 speed, 82 strength, and 91 acceleration in College Football 25. Despite having to throw to a slow receiving core, his 94 arm power and 94 break tackle, combined with his platinum extender ability, allow him to carry the tier 3 Houston Cougars.
7. Taylen Green, Arkansas
In College Football 25, former Boise State QB Green shines on a moderate Tier 2 team. Despite an 80 overall rating, he boasts 91 speed and 93 juke, making him a threat once he escapes the pocket. His Gold Magician and Off Platform abilities add to his elusiveness, giving him more opportunities to make plays. With 94 arm power and Arkansas’s deep threats, Green can punish defenses trying to stop his runs. Though his overall rating is low, Green consistently performs at a high level.
6. Isaiah Bond, Texas
Bond, who broke every Auburn fan’s heart, continues to frustrate gamers who face Texas. At 5-11, he consistently mosses defenders and then burns them by 20 yards on the next play. His gold takeoff ability makes him nearly impossible to keep up with unless bumped, and his lay out ability shines on off-target throws. With Texas having a bunch of wideouts with amazing speed, he’s tough to focus on and quarterbacks with strong arms makes Bond’s game-changing potential fully maximized.
5. Jaydn Ott, California
Ott might not get much attention due to his team, but he’s one of the best running backs in College Football 25. He’s versatile and powerful, able to run up the middle, get to the outside, and catch passes. His gold 360 and gold downhill abilities make him extremely hard to bring down. With 94 juke, he’s nearly unstoppable. Given Cal’s quarterback situation, handing the ball off to Ott all game is a smart strategy. His all-around skills make him an instant game changer on the ground and in the air.
4.Jalon Daniels, Kansas
Now we have Jalen Daniels, Kansas’ QB, who may stay hurt in real life but dominates like a prime RG3 in College Football 25. His speed overwhelms any linebacker on the edges, and his partnership with Devin Neal creates a dangerous duo, especially for option plays. His platinum Extender ability makes him even harder to bring down. Daniels poses too many problems for any defense, making it impossible to find a simple way to beat him and Kansas.
3. Zachariah Branch, USC
Zachariah Branch is incredibly tough to stop. With 97 speed, he’s already a challenge, but he also excels in other areas. He has 91 spectacular catch and 94 jumping, making him a threat in the air. His platinum shifty ability ensures he can easily evade defenders on short plays. Once he gets the ball, he’s a big play threat from anywhere on the field, With the USC connection morphing into a combination of Robert Woods with the speed of Tyreek Hill.
With the obviousness of Judkins and Monroe being #1 and #2, we decided to do something different and just not include them
2. Devin Neal, Kansas
This Kansas running back is impressive. With Platinum Side Step, Gold 360, and Shifty abilities, he’s a slightly discounted version of Ohio State’s star back, Judkins. Though not the fastest, his 94 juke and 92 spin moves make him elusive, turning him into a gamebreaker. His shiftiness and playmaking, combined with his quarterback partner, make Kansas a fun team to use in College Football 25.
1. Nyck Harbor, South Carolina
This player, with only 12 career catches, plays for South Carolina, which limits our exposure to him. Standing 6-5 and weighing 242 pounds, he has an impressive 99 speed, 79 strength, and 99 acceleration. His defensive ratings are also noteworthy. In College Football 25, he’s reminiscent of Megatron with his ability to outrun and outjump opponents. If he played for a team like Alabama or Georgia, he’d be one of the most disliked players in the game. He’s the kind of player who fits the “he’s down there somewhere” meme perfectly. Pairing him with QB Sellers can be a dangerous combination that can cause significant damage in the right hands. Fans often wonder why their team didn’t land him when he catches another touchdown from 50 yards away.
