I’ve always wanted to have a cheat sheet for my CFM that ignored the madden overall ratings(which are heavily influenced by awareness) and showed me who were the best players in the game based on the ratings that actually mattered, so then I could find possible sleepers that other guys would trade to me for minimal value. Well, this Madden I’ve finally done it. To do so, I combined the ratings into position specific category’s -which gave me a single number, that I then turned into grades (note not all A’s, B’s and C’s are created equal) and combined them to get a ranking. Continuing our Madden 16 Connected Franchise Tips here are the Top 10 Running Back Sleepers you should trade for or develop…

  1. Duke Johnson/Cleveland Browns

Madden NFL 23 Title Update Includes Updates to Superstar X-Factors

ATHLETICISM: B

RUN ABILITY: C

KEY RATING: 90 SPEED, 92 JUKE, 87 ELUSIVE

NOTES: Duke is on the list due to his blend of speed and size. Duke is balanced RB who is young, has room to improve and is an effective receiver out of the backfield.

  1. Ameer Abdullah/Detroit Lions

AGE:  22

ATHLETICISM: B

RUN ABILITY: C

KEY RATING: 95 ACCEL, 88 ELUSIVE, 94 JUKE

NOTES: Although not a blazer Ameer goes from 0 to 100 real quick and is hard for defenders to get a hand on.

  1. Christine Michael/Dallas Cowboys

AGE:  24

ATHLETICISM: A

RUN ABILITY: C

KEY RATING: 89 TRUCK, 87 STIFF ARM, 92 JUKE

NOTES: michael has all the moves to run through or around defenders, he’s tough to bring down.

  1. Tre Mason/St. Louis Rams

AGE:  22

ATHLETICISM: B

RUN ABILITY: B

KEY RATING: 91 JUKE, 93 ACCEL, 82 ELUSIVE

NOTES: mason takes an amazing college career to the NFL as he is a solid all around back who could start for some teams. Due to the fact Todd Gurley is on the same team, you might can get Tre Mason pretty easily.

  1. Latavius Murray/Oakland Raiders

AGE:  24

ATHLETICISM: A

RUN ABILITY: B

KEY RATING: 92 SPEED, 86 TRUCK, 87 STIFF ARM

NOTES: Not a sleeper many madden cfm vets Murray has the speed and power of Darren Mcfadden without included first aid kit, dude is a beast.

  1. Giovani Bernard/Cincinnati Bengals

AGE:  23

ATHLETICISM: B

RUN ABILITY: B

KEY RATING: 95 AGILITY, 95 JUKE, 90 SPIN

NOTES: A younger LeSean McCoy Bernard was forgotten by many with the emergence of Jeremy HIll “Gio” still has the quicks and hands to be a starting NFL RB.

  1. Dri Archer/Pittsburgh Steelers

AGE:  24

ATHLETICISM: A

RUN ABILITY: C

KEY RATING: 96 SPEED, 95 ACCEL, 94 JUKE

NOTES: There Raining MUT King of Madden 16 Dri is one of the most explosive running backs in the game. He is DEADLY on tosses, screens and even deep fly’s!

  1. Jerick McKinnon/Minnesota Vikings

AGE:  23

ATHLETICISM: A

RUN ABILITY: B

KEY RATING: 87 ELUSIVE, 92 JUKE, 93 SPEED

NOTES: If you’re in a fantasy draft, draft him as soon as you can. Yeah I know some of you are like “who?” probably the biggest sleeper on this list. If you’re in a regular league just hope the Vikings owner doesn’t look at his numbers. He’s got speed and the ability to make defenders miss. Get him on your roster…now!

  1. Lamar Miller/Miami Dolphins

AGE:  24

ATHLETICISM: A

RUN ABILITY: B

KEY RATING: 92 SPEED, 91 JUKE, 89 CARRY

NOTES: Long seen as an underachiever in the NFL Miller is still a beast in madden combining top tier athleticism with good running ability.

I have been playing football games since 99’. All starting with the NFL Game Day demo and NFL Blitz on PlayStation, then I moved on to Madden for the next 5 years, where I really didn't know what I was going yet. I flirted with NFL 2K for a year, but have played Madden and NCAA (up until its demise last year) ever since steadily improving my game each year and developing a passion for the X’s and O’s part of football.
