This is no April Fool’s Joke. Starting at 6pm ET on Wednesday, April 1, eight NFL players will take part in a Madden 20 tournament to help raise money for the COVID-19 relief efforts worldwide.

The tournament, which is being presented by The Checkdown, features some of the NFL’s biggest stars including Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry, Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, and Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Tyrann Mathieu.

The first matchup sees Browns teammates Jarvis Landry and Denzel Ward go head to head, and it didn’t take long for Landry to start the trash talk. In a post on Instagram, Landry asked Ward, “how many pick you going to throw to yourself?!”

Ward replied saying that he wasn’t throwing his way during the game, and he was going to test out the cornerbacks on the other side of the field.

You can see the full bracket and game schedule below courtesy of The Checkdown. Round one will lead into the semi-finals and championship later in the night.

The biggest wildcard comes in the form of Chargers star safety Derwin James who’s coming off an 80-16 rout over Mike Vick on Sunday night. We’ll see if he has what it takes to do the same to his Chargers teammate Keenan Allen.

You can watch the tournament yourself below starting a 6pm or on the official Twitch page for Madden NFL.
