madden

We covered the top 10 rookie and vet WR of Madden 23, now let’s go to the Tight Ends. The TE is one of the most important positions in Football. Without further adieu, let’s see how your favorites stack up in Madden 23.

Top TE Ratings in Madden 23

Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs – 98 OVR

Travis Kelce is one of the best TEs of all time. Throughout his time in the NFL, Kelce has set multiple records both league-wide and for his team. The 7-time pro bowler leads all tight ends in receiving touchdowns. Kelce has 6 all-pro selections to mix with his Super Bowl ring. When speaking about the best TEs in the NFL, the conversation always starts with Travis Kelce.

George Kittle – San Franciso 49ers – 97 OVR

Not far behind Kelce is George Kittle. Kittle is one of the best TE route runners in the NFL. The 6’4″, 250-pound behemoth uses his size and quickness to make himself open. In his second season in the NFL, Kittle led all TEs in receiving yards with 1377. Kittle is a 3-time pro-bowler with 2 all-pro selections.

Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens – 93 OVR

Mark Andrews may just be Lamar Jackson’s favorite target. Standing at 6’5″ and weighing 256 pounds, Andrews uses his size well against his matchups. Andrews put up some of his best numbers yet, as he led all TEs in receptions, receiving yards, and tied Travis Kelce for receiving touchdowns. That scintillating season nabbed Andrews a first-team all-pro selection and his second pro bowl selection.

Darren Waller – Las Vegas Raiders – 91 OVR

The former 6th-round pick out of Georgia Tech has come into his own since landing in Las Vegas. Waller is an athletic tight end that causes absolute nightmares for defenses. The one-time pro bowler led all tight ends in receptions in 2020.

TJ Hockenson – Detroit Lions – 89 OVR

Rounding out our top five is TJ Hockenson. Hockenson is as solid as they come. Despite an abrupt end to his 2021 campaign, Hockenson was on his way to having another career year. The pro bowler continues to be a bright spot for Detroit in his young career.

Kyle Pitts – Atlanta Falcons – 87 OVR

Kyle Pitts had a historic rookie season for TEs. He is the first rookie TE since Jeremy Shockey to go to the pro-bowl. Pitts finished the season with 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and a touchdown. It will be interesting to see how his sophomore season goes.

Mike Gesicki – Miami Dolphins – 86 OVR

Mike Gesicki has been a bright spot on a middling Dolphins squad. Gesicki had his best year in receiving yards and receptions in the 2021 season. He only started nine games, but if he starts seeing the same reps as his contemporaries, Gesicki could easily have eye-popping numbers.

Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles – 85 OVR

Dallas Goedert is one of the more underrated TEs in the NFL. Goedert put up career highs in receptions and YPG. Since taking over for Zach Ertz in October, Goedert has shined as a TE1.

Zach Ertz – Arizona Cardinals – 84 OVR

Zach Ertz has a pretty solid resume over his 9-year career. Ertz has a Super Bowl ring and is a 3-time pro-bowler. Ertz still is a serviceable player and has settled into his new role as a member of the Cardinals

Hunter Henry – New England Patriots – 84 OVR

Hunter Henry is one of Mac Jones’s favorite targets. Over the first 10 games, Henry caught seven touchdown passes, establishing himself as a frequent red-zone threat.
