Madden 23 Reveals Top Cornerbacks

Madden 23

Madden 23 ratings week continues as Electonic Arts reveals the overall ratings for two of it’s defensive positions. We’ve covered wide receivers, tight ends and edge rushers already. Today, we’re taking a look at the Top 10 rated cornerbacks in Madden 23.

Madden 23 – Top 10 Cornerbacks

Jalen Ramsey – LA Rams – 98 OVR

Surprising no one, Jalen Ramsey takes the top spot among cornerbacks in Madden 23. Perhaps more surprising is how much higher rated he is than the next closest cornerback. Ramsey’s reveal means that there are now three Rams players among the top 5 currently revealed players in this year’s Madden.

Jaire Alexander – Green Bay Packers – 94 OVR

Jaire Alexander is a defensive diamond in the rough for a Packers team which is historically found wanting. Alexander spent a chunk of the 2021 season off the field nursing injuries, but he finished the 2020 season as at least one outlet’s choice as number one cornerback in the NFL.

Tre’Davious White – Buffalo Bills – 93 OVR

Though it’s been a few seasons since the Bills held the league’s best pass defense, Tre’Davious White serves as proof that Buffalo’s defense still has potential. White tore his ACL at the end of the 2021 season; Hopefully, he comes back to both the NFL and Madden 23 strong.

Darius Slay Jr. – Philadelphia Eagles – 92 OVR

If you ask me, Darius Slay Jr. has the best name on this list. This accolade joins an impressive 2021 season that saw Slay get his fourth Pro Bowl selection and score the second most defensive touchdowns in Eagles franchise history.

Denzel Ward – Cleveland Browns – 92 OVR

It’s hard to find positive things to talk about with the 2022 Cleveland Browns. One thing they did correctly is sign Denzel Ward to a five-year contract extension. The former multiple defensive Rookie of the Week received his second Pro Bowl selection last season.

Marshon Lattimore – New Orleans Saints – 91 OVR

Marshon Lattimore is an important defensive piece on a Saints team that nearly made the playoffs last year without a quarterback. He put up career high numbers in tackles and passes defensed last season.

Stephon Gilmore – Indianapolis Colts – 91 OVR

The Associated Press’s 2019 Defensive Player of the Year has spent the last few seasons drifting around teams. The former Super Bowl-winning Patriot spend last season playing in Carolina, and will be starting this season and Madden 23 as an Indianapolis Colt.

J.C. Jackson – LA Chargers – 90 OVR

Another former member of a Patroits Super Bowl team, J.C. Jackson is coming off a Pro Bowl season where he led the league in passes defensed. Jackson joins a Chargers team that’s definitely on the rise.

Marlon Humphrey – Baltimore Ravens – 90 OVR

Marlon Humphrey earns a 90 overall rating despite missing the end of the 2021 season with a torn pectoral muscle. In 2020, his last full season, Humphrey lead the league in forced fumbles with 8. Hopefully he will be able to regain his momentum after he recovers from his injury.

A.J. Terrell Jr. – Atlanta Falcons – 89 OVR

Falcons cornerback A.J.Terrell Jr. rounds out Madden 23’s Top 10 cornerbacks. The youngest player on the list, Terrell continues a promising NFL career where he has already received a second-team All-Pro nomination.
