Today, EA Sports’ released a quick fix patch as a follow-up to the February title update for Madden NFL 19. With the Madden Challenge coming up in just a few weeks, EA has finally fixed at least two known causes of online desyncs. Here is a full breakdown of today’s patch.
Madden 19 Quick Fix Title Update
Today’s patch is minor in size, but could provide major benefits for online play. Per EA, below are the patch notes.
“This specific update addresses the following:
- Desyncs: Fix for a Hot Route desync and Two-minute warning softlock desync.
- DEV NOTE: With our increased logging/tracking from the February update, we will continue to address future stability issues.
- Solo Challenges: Fix for solos challenges that used end conditions (If the user or CPU scores on a failed attempt, then the user restarts, the user or CPU will only have one play on the next attempt).
NOTE: This update does not include a fix for players falling forward; however, our teams are aware of the issue and investigating how to address it. Once we have an update, we will make sure to post on the EA Forums.”
While online desyncs are a major problem, and have been for months, the final note above is the most important. The latest patch somehow caused momentum and general collision physics to bug. Players of all positions, heights, weights and speed are falling forward when being tackled by any defender. An example is below.
@EASPORTS_MUT not one to complain but literally 95% of my tackles(h2h or solos) are falling forward? I have ST on Jevon, usering him and it doesn't even light up.. I gave huge yards due to this falling forward on contact crap. Anybody else or am I just being delusional pic.twitter.com/bheHVCSGBQ
