NPD Group, one of the video games industry leaders in market research and analysis, just released its monthly report on video games sales in the United States. Madden NFL 20 was the best-selling video game in August 2019, according to NPD.

A big winner in August 2019 was Nintendo, who is reponsible for half of the month’s top 10 selling games. Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Maker 2, Mario Kart 8 and Astral Chain all made the top 10 for August 2019.

Madden was the best-selling game for July as well, making it the top game for two straight months. A three-peat will be hard to accomplish due to the releases of NBA 2K20 and FIFA 20 in September.
