Back in April, we got our first peek at the future of the Maximum Football franchise. In an earnings report, Maximum Games’ parent company Zordix shared a handful of screenshots from Maximum Football 2023. A handful of details accompanied these screenshots, but it was mostly just a reminder that, hey, we’re making a new Maximum Football game. Today, Modus Games dropped a development update on Twitter. In it, Development Director Micah Brown went over some of what to expect from the fully rebuilt Maximum Football 2023.

Maximum Football 2023 – Gameplay is the Focus

The video features Brown discussing Modus Games’ vision for Maximum Football 2023. He starts by listing their three pillars of focus for the series: realism, customization, and most importantly, gameplay. Gameplay and realism seem to play into each other in Brown’s description of their development process, but Brown is clear that Modus is “focused on gameplay more than anything else.”

Modus’ focus on gameplay means the team is building Maximum Football 2023 from the ground up. Maximum Football 2023 is being rebuilt in the Unreal Engine. Brown clarifies that the team is replacing every animation from the original Maximum Football games with brand new ones.

“Every single asset that was in the old game has been replaced by brand new assets that are much more realistic looking. We are literally building Maximum Football 2023 from the ground up.”

This is where realism interacts with gameplay. The video shows a lot of footage of mocapped football players. Brown talks about the importance of getting player movement exactly right. Wide Receivers need to be able to accelerate, to slow down in time to change direction smoothly. Linemen need to move from block to block. While the team is recording all new animations at every position, they aren’t looking to have an animation for every situation. Brown confirmed that Maximum Football 2023 will be a physics-based football game. “It’s not gonna be a million pre-made animations,” says Brown, “all the bodies will collide with momentum, with velocity.”

Full Customization, For You and Your Friends

The video also features a brief look at the game’s customization suite. Maximum Football 2023 will feature a full logo creator. Brown says that players will be able to share their create-a-team and create-a-players with others, presumably online, which is cool.

Finally, we get our first information about Maximum Football’s crown jewel, it’s Dynasty mode. Brown confirmed the game’s Dynasty mode will include recruiting battles, a deep scouting system, and scholarships to offer top recruits. Brown also mentions a professional football mode, though he shares no information about how it will differ from their college football experience.

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I’m my non-public boss.
