Over the last few years, independent football video games have become pretty popular. From the arcade retro style games to the full-blown 3D simulations, plenty of new football games have been popping up lately. One of the biggest names in the independent football gaming scene just made a huge announcement about their next release.

Early Access

This week, Maximum Football announced that their game will release into Steam Early Access on November 7th. This will be the first release in the Maximum Football series since Maximum Football 2020 was released in September 2020. This latest entry was originally announced in 2021, with an open beta occurring earlier this year.

When the game releases into early access, there will be four main modes included: Exhibition, College Dynasty, Online Multiplayer, and the entire Maximum Football Customization suite. More modes will be added to the game later on, including Franchise mode which will be Maximum Football’s version of professional football.

College Dynasty is easily the most exciting part of the Early Access release since it was not featured in the open beta earlier this year. Maximum Football released a deep dive article on their College Dynasty mode on their website. This mode will let players either create their own team or pick from one of the 130 pre-made teams. Coaches will then recruit prospects, customize conferences, and manage their school’s income and expenses.

With this Early Access release, the team behind Maximum Football is hoping to be able to gather feedback from players about what needs to be fixed and added to the game before the full release. The team also wants to get a chance to balance the competitive play to make sure nothing is too overpowered.

While Maximum Football doesn’t release into Early Access until November 7th, the game is now available to wish list on Steam.

Oh, man, the nostalgia of NBA Live 18 leaks! It’s always cool to see how games evolve visually over time, especially with all the subtle effects that make a scene pop. Speaking of visuals, I’ve been experimenting with editing tools lately to add more depth to my screenshots. I came across this tool Luminar’s vignette overlays, and it’s a game-changer for tweaking lighting and mood. It’s wild how much a good vignette can shift the focus and vibe of an image colors in photography Makes me wonder if developers use similar tricks when fine-tuning promo shots for games. What’s your go-to for making your screenshots or projects stand out?

geometry dash breeze fosters a strong sense of community among players. With the ability to share custom levels and participate in challenges, players can connect, compete, and collaborate. Online forums and social media groups dedicated to the game allow fans to share tips, tricks, and their favorite level creations.
