For the first time ever, the Madden Championship Series has a back-to-back champion as Skimbo has taken home the 2018 Madden Classic Championship.
Skimbo took home the championship belt and $25,000 by topping Joke 24-20 in the tournament final.

Skimbo started strong early, building a quick 14-0 lead in the opening quarter. Joke would cut the lead in half 14-7, and entered halftime down 17-10.
He came out and made it a four-point game with a field goal early in the third quarter, but Skimbo would march right down field on the very next drive and score another touchdown to make it 24-13. That score ultimately put the game out of reach.
Joke found the endzone one more time, but just couldn’t make a defensive stop when it matter the most. Skimbo’s conversion of a 4th & 2 with just 34 seconds to play iced his victory.
To get to the final, Skimbo took care of business against Kaus, beating him 20-7 in the quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon. He followed that up with a one-score victory over Tweez by a score of 23-17.
