Madden 21 Dual Entitlement
In a nutshell, gamers who purchase a copy of Madden 21 for the Xbox One and PS4 are eligible to receive a version of Madden 21 for the next generation at no extra cost. Per EA’s website, gamers who buy Madden 21 can upgrade to the next-gen once they have the PS5 or Xbox Series X. This offer will stand until the release of Madden 22.
It is Limited By Console
In order to cash in on the offer, gamers who buy Madden 21 for the Playstation 4 are only eligible to upgrade the game to the Playstation 5. The same goes for the Xbox family of consoles.
How Will I Receive the Game For Xbox Series X or PS5?
Once a gamer purchases and receives the Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 (and provided you followed the step above), insert the Madden 21 disc from the old-gen into the new console. From there, you will be able to download Madden 21 for the next generation digitally from either the Playstation Store or the Microsoft Store (depending on what console you buy).
Can I Buy a Physical Copy for PS4 and Then Receive Madden 21 for the PS5 Digital Edition?
No. Physical copies for the Playstation 4 are not eligible for the upgrade in this instance, since no discs can be inserted into the PS5 Digital Edition. In order to cash in on the Dual Entitlement program, and if you are planning to buy the Digital Edition, make sure to buy a digital version of Madden 21 for the Playstation 4.
Will My Data Transfer Over?
This is something that a lot of people want to know. EA has told gamers thus far that binder content and Madden Points for MUT will, in fact, transfer over. That is, assuming, that you have transitioned to the next-generation within the family of consoles.
In addition, “progress in certain Franchise modes” can also be imported from the current generation to the next generation.
Can I Play MUT on PS4/XB1 After Transitioning?
