After some radio silence on the next PGA Tour 2K, today marks the release of some official news for the upcoming PGA Tour 2K23.

The official PGA Tour 2K game account took to Twitter and released a very short teaser. In the short six-second teaser, fans noted the inclusion of licensed gear and some other potential easter eggs.

The teaser does not show much; however, it does provide a date of August 22. Most initially assumed a released date, but the 2K account quickly followed the teaser up with a comment noting telling fans more information on PGA Tour 2K23 will be revealed on the August 22 date and to stay tuned. Of course, we here at SGO will be doing the same to ensure everyone remains in the know. Speculation and expectations
Hopeful fans flooded the comments speculating what new details 2K plans to reveal. Additionally, many expressed hope for more licensed content. With most sports games, this is a huge area of contention and competition between publishing companies. Not too long ago, EA Sports acquired exclusive licensing to PGA Tour. Part of the EA licensing deal with the PGA Tour includes all four of the PGA Tour’s majors, including the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship, the US Open Championship, as well as The Open Championship. These have all been said to be included in EA Sports PGA Tour as exclusive content, ‘exclusive’ being the operative word here. With these circumstances, it is unknown just what PGA Tour 2K23 can or will include. Fans will just have to await August 22 to find out.
