Last week, EA Sports kicked off its NHL 24 promotion campaign with the reveal of the cover athlete and a deep dive into gameplay. On Monday, the American publisher revealed new features coming to The World of Chel.
The World of Chel in NHL 24
The World of Chel is a team play mode in EA’s hockey game that allows fans to create a player and team up with friends.
This year, fans can expect changes in EASHL, customization, and the addition of cross-play.
Cross-play in NHL 24
Cross-play coming to EA Sports games seems to be the ongoing theme for the publisher. Earlier this year, we reported that Madden 24 would get cross-play capabilities, and NHL 24 will follow suit.
EA Sports Hockey League Set Up
Based on community feedback, EA has switched up the EASHL play-off structure. In EA’s new hockey game, players will compete in a best of 7 series leading up to the championship.
This new structure will make every game mean so much more. So make sure your team is suited and ready to hit the ice.
Battle Pass
In NHL 24, EA Sports ditched the ‘hockey bag’ mechanic and implemented a free and premium battle pass. Each tier will have new player vanity and cosmetic items to earn through progression.
Players will also get the first premium battle pass free, but after that, they will need to play for future ones in the next tier.
