Kirk Herbstreit Reveals Release Month for College Football 25

It is no secret that EA Sports College Football 25 is one of the most anticipated video games in recent memory. With it being over a decade since the last game’s release, fans are eager for every nugget of information about the game. Today, one of the people who has been working tirelessly on the upcoming title may have revealed some of the biggest pieces of information yet.

Clear My Schedule

On today’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee talked with his College Gameday cohost Kirk Herbstreit. Herbstreit was in many of the older college football video games and has confirmed that he is in EA Sports College Football 25. During the interview, Herbstreit confirmed that he is still working on recording lines for the game. Herbstreit said “We’re still banging around on that… It’s tedious work but I enjoy it because once the finished product comes out it’ll be a lot of fun.”

Herbstreit also confirmed that there will be multiple broadcast crews calling games in EA Sports College Football 25. He also mentioned that the broadcast booth would vary depending on what kind of game it is. So perhaps there will be one group for Power 4 conferences and one group for the Group of 5 conferences. Another possibility could be one group for weekday games, one for Saturday afternoon games, and one group for the primetime Saturday night games.

While no official date for the game’s release has been released yet, Herbstreit may have given us the next best thing. Herbstreit said “I think it [EA Sports College Football 25] comes out in July.” This is in line with several other reports that the game was scheduled for release sometime this summer. With how Herbstreit is talking, it sounds like the game is well on its way to making that window, despite saying he still has a lot of recording work left to do.

EA Sports has confirmed that an official unveiling for the game will take place sometime in May. Then, we will hopefully get an exact date for the game’s release, as well as more information around features and gameplay.
