MLB The Show 20: Extreme Program and Roster Update Available Now, Details Here

Today, San Diego Studio (SDS) released a critical content update for MLB The Show 20 Diamond Dynasty. This update includes nearly a dozen new cards (including three 99 overall players), the new Extreme program, new Topps Now cards, new moments, a roster update and more. This is a complete breakdown of all the new content.

EXTREME MOMENTS, CONQUEST AND SHOWDOWN

The Extreme Program is now live in Diamond Dynasty. This program features a new conquest map, a showdown and new moments. By completing all extreme missions, you’ll earn three 99 overall players: MVP Christian Yelich, Future Stars Nate Pearson and Signature Series Lou Gehrig. Each of these players can be prestiged once earned. Below is a look the attributes and card art for all three.

Rewards in the Extreme Program are as follows:

  • 10 Program Stars – 5 Ballin’ is a Habit packs
  • 20 Program Stars – Ducks on the Pond pack
  • 30 Program Stars – 99 overall MVP Christian Yelich
  • 40 Program Stars – 20 standard packs
  • 50 Program Stars – Beach Ball pack
  • 65 Program Stars – 99 overall Future Stars Nate Pearson
  • 70 Program Stars – 5 Ballin’ is a Habit packs
  • 80 Program Stars – Ducks on the Pond pack
  • 90 Program Stars – Beach Ball pack
  • 100 Program Stars – 99 overall Signature Series Lou Gehrig

To reach 100 program stars, complete the Extreme Showdown (33 stars), Extreme Conquest (34 stars) and all extreme moments (33 total stars).

Overall, Diamond Dynasty is welcoming eight new diamond cards. All of these cards are obtainable by either completing Extreme Program milestones, completing new moments/programs, opening packs or buying them from the marketplace.

ROSTER UPDATE

Today’s roster update features attribute upgrades and position changes. Below are some of the major attribute changes, including those who changed tier (e.g., gold to diamond).

  • Devin Williams, Brewers RP – 79 to 83
  • Chris Martin, Braves RP – 78 to 83
  • Will Smith, Dodgers C – 79 to 82
  • Corbin Burnes, Brewers SP – 78 to 82
  • Miguel Rojas, Marlins SS – 77 to 81
  • Dominic Smith, Mets 1B – 79 to 81
  • Tanner Rainey, Nationals RP – 77 to 81
  • Drew Pomeranz, Padres RP – 78 to 81
  • Rafael Devers, Red Sox 3B – 78 to 80
  • Sixto Sanchez, Marlins SP – 78 to 80
  • Kyle Hendricks, Cubs SP – 79 to 80
  • Zach Davies, Padres SP – 79 to 80
  • Marcus Semien, Athletics SS – 79 to 80
NOTABLE DOWNGRADES
  • Jack Flaherty, Cardinals SP – 85 to 83
  • Zack Greinke, Astros SP – 85 to 83
  • J.D. Martinez, Red Sox LF – 80 to 78

SDS will be issuing roster updates every Friday during the MLB regular season. There are only two more roster updates for the season. You can find all of this week’s changes here.

TOPPS NOW

New Topps Now cards and moments are also available. Complete all six of the past week’s moments to earn a Topps Now choice pack, good for two Topps Now players. Today’s release includes the following Topps Now cards:

  • 97 overall Mike Clevinger, Padres SP
  • 97 overall Corbin Burnes, Brewers SP
  • 97 overall Michael Conforto, Mets RF
  • 97 overall Aaron Nola, Phillies SP
  • 96 overall Jorge Alfaro, Marlins C
