The 2022 MLB All-Star Games has come and gone as it leaves behind a wealth of content in MLB The Show 22. The content didn’t stop at the Featured Program, as even more All-Star content has been added. We have a new program, Home Run Derby and All-Star game cards to grind towards, as well as content honoring Big Papi David Ortiz.
MLB The Show 22: Home Run Derby and All-Star Game Choice Packs
Just like last year, SDS released content based on both the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game just hours after the events concluded. The new choice packs are available in The Show Shop for 30,000 stubs each.
Home Run Derby Cards
For the Home Run Derby, all eight participants received recognition in the pack. The tiers and players in them breakdown as follows:
- Base (1:1 odds)
- Dodgers SS Corey Seager (95 OVR)
- Braves RF Ronald Acuna Jr. (95 OVR)
- Guardians 3B Jose Ramirez (95 OVR)
- Phillies LF Kyle Schwarber (95 OVR)
- Mid (1:4 odds)
- Cardinals 1B Albert Pujols (97 OVR)
- Mets 1B Pete Alonso (97 OVR)
- Rare (1:10 odds)
- Nationals RF Juan Soto (99 OVR)
- Mariners CF Julio Rodriguez (98 OVR)
These cards offer some of the most impressive power hitting in all of Diamond Dynasty. Add to that Rodriguez’s 98 speed or Soto’s 125 discipline and clutch and you have some of the greatest cards in the entire game.
The All-Star Game Choice Pack features six of the top performers from this year’s Midsummer Classic. The tier breakdown is as follows:
- Base (1:1 odds)
- Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw (95 OVR)
- Guardians CP Emmanuel Clase (95 OVR)
- Mid (1:4 odds)
- Twins CF Byron Buxton (97 OVR)
- Cardinals CP Ryan Helsley (97 OVR)
- Rare (1:10 odds)
- Blue Jays SP Alek Manoah (98 OVR)
- Yankees LF Giancarlon Stanton (99 OVR)
While the Home Run Derby cards were quite impressive, it’s hard not to feel like these All-Star Game cards fall short. Four of the six cards are pitchers, and the ratings on the only two hitters in the pack are questionable at best. Stanton and Buxton received these cards because they hit back-to-back home runs in Tuesday’s All-Star Game.
The home runs were off the same pitcher, Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin. Despite this, Buxton received only 73 CON R, and even more surprising is he got an 82 CON L. How does a card based on Buxton’s 1-2 game where his only hit came against a right-handed pitcher perform worse against right-handed hitting? Despite this, the majority of the cards released around the All-Star Gamer are quite powerful and will be featured in lineups for months to come.
MLB The Show 22 All-Star Program
If you are looking for a way to get your hands on these new choice packs, might I recommend the new All-Star Program. This Other Program has one of each pack at the end of the program. The program also has a 96 OVR Topps Now Jasson Dominguez and a 97 OVR 2022 All-Star Miguel Cabrera. This program includes moments, missions with the All-Star content that has been added to the game, and an optional collection of 5 All-Star cards.
David Ortiz Hall of Fame Program
This weekend, Red Sox slugger and legend David Ortiz will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. In honor of this achievement, the 10-time All-Star gets his own program celebrating his larger than life career. The program works similarly to other player programs from previous years. Players will earn a 75 OVR Rookie David Ortiz card early on for them to earn PXP with as a mission. The program also serves up several moments for players to play through that chronicle Ortiz’s biggest moments on the diamond. Once the program is complete, players will earn 99 OVR Prime David Ortiz.
Topps Now
Another set of Topps Now cards have been added to the July Monthly Awards Program. The three new 92 OVR cards added are:
- Rockies SS Jose Iglesias

- Blue Jays SP Jose Berrios
Players will have to complete this weeks moments to earn all three of these cards. Once that is complete, these cards can be added to the collection of other from the month to earn a 95 OVR Giants RF Mike Yastrzemski.

I am making $92 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $ninety five however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I’m my non-public boss. That is what I do… http://www.richzone9.com
