After claiming that a release during the 2016-17 season was going to happen, EA Sports has announced that the next installment of NBA Live won’t be coming until the start of next season.
The announcement was made during a conference call with investors on Tuesday.
As far as a reason for the decision, EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated that the team wanted to give the game more time to develop in addition to having a full season of sales potential.
There was no mention as to whether it will remain on the Ignite Engine or make the jump with Madden NFL to the more powerful Frostbite Engine.
