New App Launching This Week That Can Make You a Better Madden Player

Madden 24

Have you ever been playing Madden NFL and wished you could get some help? Have you ever gotten so frustrated with your opponent spamming the same plays over and over and wanted some quick info on how to stop it? Well soon, you may just be able to have that help. Thanks to a former Madden NFL champion, players will soon be able to get immediate in-game help from someone who knows the game as well as anyone.

The Madden Academy

The new Madden Academy app hopes to bring years of Madden NFL knowledge and experience to the average player. The Madden Academy was founded about 2 years ago by three-time Madden NFL Carolina Panthers Club Champion Manu. Manu founded The Madden Academy to try and help provide resources to teach players about Madden NFL that went beyond just the best money plays. Manu wanted to show people that it is possible to learn how to play Madden NFL at a high level, without having to spam the same plays over and over.

Manu’s idea for the app came when he was sitting in college classes and thought about how professors have to repeat the same information every year to a new group of students. He thought it would be cool to create a way to put all the information from all the professors into a database that could be accessed by anyone at any time. This way people could access it 24/7 and professors would not have to repeat themselves every year.

After Manu started The Madden Academy, he found he was doing the same thing his professors had done years earlier. In his coaching sessions with Madden NFL players, Manu found himself just repeating the same information over and over to a new player. This led Manu to actually put his idea into motion to create the new Madden Academy mobile app.

What Does the App Do?

The Madden Academy app has several features to help you improve your game. The biggest feature is the immediate in-game help system. Players can ask the app a question, and it will respond with how Manu would answer the question. Players will get a visual image as well as a block of text that the app will read out to them.

For example, the user can ask the app a question like “How do I stop wing tight?” The app will then give you the play art of a recommended play and read out the response “Have auto flip off in coaching adjustments or else your slot DB will line up on wrong side. Have slot DB on strong side. Flip play if you need to. You’ll wrap around edge with user.”

Manu said that having both the visual and audio component was really important for the app. With how fast games are and how little time players have to pick plays, the app needs to be able to get information to players efficiently. The visual component allows players to go ahead and get their play selected while the audio tells them any adjustments they need to make and why this play works well.

Players will also be able to catalog each game they play and what questions they asked during the game. This will be useful for players in online franchises as well as those that happen to play the same user multiple times online. The app will let you put in your opponent’s gamertag, and record what questions you asked during your game with them. If you play that user again, you can go back and immediately see what questions you asked during that game. This will give you some information into what this opponent might be calling based on the previous game.

Download For Free

While these features will require users to be Madden Academy subscribers, there will also be a free experience on the app as well. The app itself is free to download and includes over 150 blogs from Manu. These blogs go in depth on playbooks, formations, and concepts. Think of the blogs as your practice going into a game, where asking the app specific questions are your in-game adjustments.

The Madden Academy app is now available on the Google Play Store and launches on the Apple App Store this Friday, November 17.
