Last week, College Football 25 received it first major title update. This update addressed many issues and bugs with the game that players had been dealing with since launch. While this update did fix many issues, it appears it may have added a few new problems to the game.
New Issues
Last Thursday, College Football 25’s title update sought to fix some major issues with the game. This included things like gameplay adjustments as well as Dynasty mode bugs. Now that the patch has been released, fans have reported some new issues that seem to have been caused by the patch.
The first new bug occurs when trying to change your team’s playbooks in Dynasty mode. If you try to change your playbooks at the Scheme & Playbook part of the Coach menu in Dynasty, your player’s archetypes and OVR ratings change based on the scheme. You can still change your scheme and playbook in the Edit Coach part of the Coach menu without having your player’s ratings affected.
The second issue occurs during the Position Changes part of the Offseason. After the title update, freshmen no longer show up in the Change Positions screen. This means if you recruited an athlete who needs to be assigned a position, you just won’t be able to from this screen. You will have to go to the Edit Player menu through the View Roster screen to change their positions.
The final issue caused by the title update is that annual non-conference games did not appear to be rotating from one year to the next.
A few hours after the title update went live, the College Football Direct account on X made a post saying they were aware of the issues, and they were working on a solution. The next morning, there was server maintenance for the game.

Online Fixes
That afternoon, another post said that the issues caused by the title update would now be fixed, but only for online dynasties. This means if you were playing an offline dynasty, you will still be affected by the issues. The post said that another Title Update would be required to fix the issues in offline dynasties. There is no information yet about when this next Title Update is scheduled to be released.

Also, the fix for the Scheme and Playbooks issue would not retroactively fixed players who had their ratings affected by the issue. So, if you had players get their OVR ratings messed up, you were just stuck with those ratings.
