New NASCAR 21: Ignition Update Adds Next Gen Car, Rule Fixes

NASCAR 21: Ignition Next Gen Car

Ahead of the sport’s biggest race — the Daytona 500 — Motorsport Games has released the latest NASCAR 21: Ignition update that brings the next gen car to all platforms. In addition to the car, the patch features a number of fixes as well as NASCAR rule implementations.

Starting with the new car, the next gen car is now available to drive via the “Test Drive Next Gen Car” option in the Race Now menu. It’s the first taste of it with more hopefully to come in the coming months with a follow up patch.

Aside from the car addition, corner cutting penalties were finally implemented at a number of race tracks including Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Charlotte Roval, Road America, and more. Other fixes include the game’s AI performance, online stability, pitstops, and more.

What players won’t see are any adjustments to multiplayer offerings like lobbies nor fixes to the playoffs within the game’s career mode. Those problems will hopefully be solved later on.

The full patch notes can be found below via Motorsport Games.

NASCAR 21: Ignition is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game is playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility.
