Take-Two Interactive revealed the final update for NBA 2K22. As 2K gears up for the release of NBA 2K23, 2K22 will see one last season. Next-gen users have already received the update, while last-gen users will receive the update later.
Based on a couple of tweets from the NBA 2K Twitter page, here are a few things players can expect in the new update. The new season will be available Friday, August 12.
NBA 2K22 1.018 Patch Notes (1.018.000) – August 10, 2022

- Fixed a rare shot-related issue
- Addressed various game crashing bugs.

- Other minor bug fixes.
End Game & Invincible Rewards for MyTeam, 3-Week MyTeam Limited Run, and updated MyCareer rewards, including the Tiger, Jetpack, and more. There is not much more information. The rest of Patch 1.018 will be revealed soon.
This will be the last update before the NBA 2K23 release on September 8, 2022. Gracing the illustrious cover is Phoenix Suns star, Devin Booker. Joining is the GOAT, Michael Jordan, on the Championship and Michael Jordan Editions. Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm will be on the WNBA covers.
The gameplay will receive a myriad of tweaks, notably adrenaline boosts. Additionally, there are three available boosts per player, per possession, shown as three small bars under the stamina meter. Boosts are consumed every time you perform a hard go or explosive sprint launch. Once your three boosts are gone, you’ll notice that your speed and acceleration decrease significantly for the remainder of the possession. As with dribble combos, it’s important to play smart basketball and be efficient with your movement rather than zig-zagging back and forth aimlessly trying to get around the defense. A myriad of changes has also been made to the badge system. You can find the full details here.
