A day after releasing an update on the status of NHL 21, the game’s release date has been revealed thanks to listings on both the Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store.
The game will launch on October 16 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will launch with three different versions: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. In addition to the release date, the game’s pre-order bonuses were revealed, which you can find below.

Now that the NHL 21 release date is seemingly known, the next thing to come will be the official reveal of the game’s cover athlete and features. That information, according to EA Sports, is scheduled to come in late August.
What has been revealed by EA Sports, however, is that the game is not being developed for the next-gen Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. That said, it will be playable on the newer systems utilizing what the company called “forward compatibility”.
