NHL 22 Reveal Coming Thursday

As news has slowly trickled out for EA Sports franchises such as Madden and FIFA, hockey fans have been patiently waiting for information on NHL 22. Luckily, that wait is almost over.

In a tweet, EA Sports announced that the first look at the game will be coming on Thursday, Aug. 19th.

Fans will be able to watch the broadcast live from EA Sports NHL’s YouTube account at 8am PST, 11am EST.

If past years are any indication, fans of the series can expect a brief reveal trailer. For example, NHL 21’s reveal trailer informed viewers of the game’s cover athlete – Alexander Ovechkin – and tease some footage of the Be A Pro game mode, which was one of the bigger updates in that rendition of the game.

Fans eagerly await news on the game coming to PC and the return of GM Connected (just like every year). However, there is no indication of these updates coming to NHL 22 yet.

While this year’s reveal trailer may tease some of the updates coming to the new installment in the series, it likely won’t be for another week or so before EA dives deeper into the gameplay mechanics and game mode updates NHL 22 has in store.

Whatever information is revealed on Thursday, it signifies that NHL 22 is right around the corner. Perhaps the leaked NHL 22 Beta will be coming shortly thereafter, an annual event for fans to get their hockey fix in the dog days of summer.
