EA Sports F1 24 Revealed, Pre-Orders Now Available

Today, EA Sports revealed the next entry in their increasingly popular F1 series. EA Sports F1 24 will release  May 31 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam. This year’s title brings major gameplay improvements, as well as a completely revamped Career mode.

Going Full Throttle

This year, the development team worked closely with current World Champion Max Verstappen on developing their new Dynamic Handling system. The goal of this system is to make the cars feel more realistic and predictable across wheel and pad. New suspension kinematics, upgraded models for tyres, improved aerodynamic simulation, and new car setup options all went into creating this new feeling of realism. Players will now get immediate feedback on their performance based on brake pressure, track temperature, and more variable conditions. This will allow players to react faster to push forward in the pack.

The popular Career mode will be seeing tons of new additions this year. For the first time, along with creating their own driver, players will now be able to start a career with either one of the legendary F1 drivers in the game or one of the up-and-coming F2 drivers. New on-track objectives will give players the chance to earn new deals and build their reputation. Meeting Contract Targets will allow you to unlock secret meetings to negotiate your move to your rival. You will also have season long objectives, such as Top 10 finishes or competing for a championship.

As you build your reputation, you will get more support from your team. You can either use that support to specialize in one area of development, or build a more well-rounded driver. The new two-player Career mode will let you compete with a friend as you both try to become a World Champion.

F1 World returns as the center for all things multiplayer. Players can choose to align with their favorite team and race over the course of each Podium Pass season. MyTeam also returns with two new icons, James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya. These two new drivers can only be earned by purchasing the Champion Edition of the game.

There have also been updates to several circuits. Tracks like Silverstone, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and Jeddah Corniche Circuit have all received significant updates to match their real-world appearance. New driver audio from actual F1 broadcasts have been added to help bring more intensity to on-track events. New broadcast packages and cutscenes have been added to the race day presentation.

Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters , said, “The new handling model, powered by EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling will enable players to get maximum performance from their car, with authentic physics giving them the confidence in racing wheel to wheel with their rivals. Our biggest Career innovation since 2016 delivers more of what our players want with greater variety away from the track. Alongside new handling and Career innovations, updated circuits, new audio, and a refreshed broadcast presentation give players the feeling of being closer to the grid.”
