The trailer is a mix of cinematic scenes, live-action, and game engine footage, so we have yet to see the game’s official gameplay. However, EA will reveal more details in “the coming weeks.”
The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but the press release provided by EA Sports gives us some insight into upcoming features.
New features so far
In the press release, EA Sports revealed that My Team will be getting some significant enhancements.
“My Team receives its first significant overhaul,” The press release stated. “With players calling the shots as the owner of their F1 team. Take on new responsibilities before getting behind the wheel as either of the team’s drivers.”
My Team is a mode that allows players to create their own team and make the decisions that ultimately affect on-track success. In addition to the new features in My Team, the game’s dramatized story mode, “Braking Point,” makes its return with a third chapter.
Braking Point follows the fictional team Konnorsport in their quest to become the top racing outfit in Formula 1. Codemasters Senior Creative Lee Mather gave some insight on whats new with this year’s Braking Point story.
“F1 25 delivers more ways for players to experience Formula 1 and race their way, from the drama of Braking Point to making headlines in the pursuit of World Championship glory,” said Lee Mather. “This year, there are new opportunities for players to connect, collaborate, and compete than ever before. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”

Not much is said on gameplay, but EA has specified that F1 25 continues to innovate through its EGO engine and LIDAR technology. However, the press release states that more gameplay details will be revealed soon during the game’s Deep Dive series.
F1 25 crosses the finish line on May 30. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
