Deep Silver and Codemasters dropped the trailer for F1 2020’s new Podium Pass and, y’all, it’s colorful. The Podium Pass, F1 2020’s equivalent of the now-common Battle Pass, is entering Series 2. New celebrations, new gear, and tons of PitCoin await F1 fans in Series 2.
Podium Pass Series 2 Details
Podium Pass Series 2 adds new cosmetics of all kinds. Exclusive podium celebrations, new car liveries, race suits, gloves, helmets, and more are all available through the new Podium Pass. Similar to other Battle Pass equivalents, the Podium Pass comes in two forms. Anyone who owns F1 2020 will be able to earn experience and unlock some free items from the Podium Pass. However, for 9,000 PitCoin (or a little under 9 dollars in the Microsoft store), you can update to Podium Pass VIP. This upgrade gives you access to the full pass, which unlocks enough PitCoin to buy the next VIP.
The new cosmetics include items from Formula 1’s “We Race As One” initiative. “We Race As One” takes aim at the racism within Formula 1. The initiative promises both visual and fundamental support in the fight against racism in the US. This includes setting up a task force, according to F1’s website, “the Task Force will be specifically focused at identifying the employment and education opportunities for under-represented groups across Formula 1, including STEM careers, and the required actions to address these findings.”
