F1 2022 will include features that have never been seen in the series before as well as a brand new game mode, at least according to new leaks. A new report from Xfire claims a number of additions are coming to one of the deepest franchises available.
According to the outlet, F1 2022 will see the Story mode that made it’s debut in F1 2021 not make it over this time around. In its place will be a new mode called “F1 Life”. This mode will see players get a behind-the-scenes look at life as an F1 driver, and let them live out that life for themselves. That life includes purchasing luxury items like watches and even supercars.
Players will allegedly be able to purchase, collect, and drive these cars for the first time ever. They’ll be able to be driven offline and online in races specifically designed for supercars.
In addition to the new F1 Life mode, F1 2022 will reportedly feature VR support for the first time. The use of VR in the series has been requested for some time by fans, and it appears that this year will finally be when it becomes a reality.
Lastly, like FIFA 23 is expected to have, F1 2022 will feature cross-play between platforms. That means friends will be able to race together online no matter the system they play on. There was no mention if a two-player career would be cross-platform as well, but it is something worth monitoring.
F1 2022 is expected to launch later this summer for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. SGO will have more on the game as it becomes available.
